The Krewe of Ousia Carnival and Social Aid Club Incorporated is an all-female Mardi Gras and social club in the Atlanta Metropolitan and surrounding areas. This organization is founded and chartered by a group of New Orleanians, Louisianans, Mardi Gras veterans, and or woman living in the Atlanta area eager to create an organic sisterhood and immense the culture of New Orleans. Krewe of Ousia was implemented out of the desire to create a social aid organization open to professional and creative women from diverse ethnic groups and backgrounds.
The mission of the Krewe of Ousia is to provide and uphold a representation of Louisiana culture while organizing and promoting a sense of community through sisterhood, culture, charity and vitality. This organization is committed to preserving and celebrating the rich traditions of the carnival season of New Orleans embraced as a new tradition int he beautiful city of Atlanta.
Our mission is to empower and support college students on their journey to degree completion by bridging the financial and personal gaps often overlooked by traditional aid. Through our support, we aim to reduce dropout rates and help students thrive, academically, emotionally, and professionally.
